Feed the People

In 2020 as we battled COVID together, the world changed, and so did our role in it. Suddenly, Steve's Hot Dogs wasn't just a place for a killer Chicago Dog; it became a lifeline for the community. We saw our neighbors, our friends, struggling. Jobs lost, families facing impossible choices. Dinner shouldn't be one of them. That's when #FeedThePeople was born. It started with a simple question from a generous customer: "If I buy a Family Pack, can you give it to someone who needs it?" The answer was a resounding YES. And the community's response? Overwhelming.

Since then, thanks to customers like YOU, we've connected hundreds of meals with those who need them most. Customer donations allow us to give. When we have donations, we are able to say YES to our community partners when they ask us to donate. Since 2020, we have donated 8,580 meals* valued at $85,000 to:

1. Local heroes at Waymaker's Chapel, St. Patrick Center, Boys & Girls Club, The Salvation Army of St. Louis, Healing Action, and more.
2. Kids missing out on school lunches during school and government shutdowns.
3. Frontline workers at SLU Hospital, Barnes, Mercy, Children's, and other healthcare heroes.
4. Truck drivers keeping our country moving during the toughest times.
5. Families facing job loss, illness, and instability.

How Donations Work

We do not offer direct meal distributions to individuals, but instead provide meals through social service organizations, who are able to request meals at any time. We give as our donations allow us to be able to.
